Thanks for the advice, Joe Cocker! We are definitely leaving our hats on this fall (listen to Joe below for a little ear candy)!
We just received some fabulous hats here at Frock Candy and I am absolutely gaga (not lady) over them! I cannot wait to top off my holiday party outfits with our black Glitzy Sequin Beret and then possibly switch to the gold one later in the evening
. Take a peek-see at them below.
Berets are seriously trending right now. They warm up an outfit without feeling the heat of a sweater and are a sent-from-heaven solution to flat hair days. Be sure and wear the beret towards the back of your head. Keep it loose and floppy… you don’t want it to look like the Pilsbury dough boy’s topper. Although a freshly baked batch of his cookies sounds VERY tempting right now
However, If you’re not feeling the boho-like beret look, there are other ways to decorate your crown:
- Cloche Hats/Bucket Hats: Lovin this 50’s flapper look. We have one in charcoal gray and in beige with an adorable rosette on the side. Wear it with your favorite wool pea-coat, cable-knit tights, and t-strap mary-janes.
- Wide Brim Hats: How groovy is it that this bohemian style made its way into fall??? Instead of the straw, you can now find them in lush velvets and wool in deep colors like wine, brown, and plum. Achieve the complete look by adding a maxi skirt, off-the- shoulder sweater, ankle boots, and an extra long pendant necklace.
- Fedoras: I have literally sported a fedora at least once a week for the last 6 months. I can’t get enough of how menswear chic they are! It’s such a versatile hat that it can be thrown on for a coffee run while still in your pjs or worn on date night with your girliest dress and a blazer. Try them in a wider brim style for fall.
Frockfully Yours,
Jackie

I’am loving the hats now, if I could pull them of!
Try a few on! There are so many different styles to choose from! Fashion is all about trying new things!
This blog is “frockin” awesome!!!LOL Really, love the witty comments and great fashion tips. I might actually be able to put together a great outfit one day!!! Think I will start with a hat and work my way down:)
You know I’m gonna have to steal the ‘frockin’ from you right??? lol! Thanks Tweety
Yeah, I can’t really pull off hats either. Taylor Swift looks so cute in that red beret though.
I am super pleased to see such an interesting blog with such helpful style tips!! Hopefully I will be able to pull off one of these hats in the near future thanks to you! Keep on frockin’ !! (thank you, tweety for adding that new word to my vocabulary)
Thank you Brogan! Experiment with those different styles of hats till you find one that fits you
WOW! I was so wondering if I could get away with those trendy cute hats at my age, What do you think do you have to be a young gal to wear them? And if so, what could woman my age wear them with? ( I’m 44)
Hats are definitely for all ages! Try a wide brim hat in a luxe material like velvet… pair it with a long maxi dress and a cardigan
Just take a look at Sarah Jessica Parker in her fedora (above)… she’s 45!
I love those hats, they’re adorable,
I already picked up 2!
I’m hoping to find a red one similar to Taylor Swift’s
Awesome! I’m lovin the red too
